Since 2010, I have been recording on cassette tapes and Tascam Portastudio recorders. From 2010 to around 2016, I recorded full songs, fragments, experiments, and one-off live jams but very rarely digitally archived whatever it was that I was recording on tape at the time. I also did a poor job labeling the tapes, which resulted a large box of vaguely labeled cassettes. Many of the early recordings were labeled with "Latest Sounds" but nothing past this. The selection on this compilation represents my favorite of these tape experiments.The recordings span several years, but also several genres and approaches to music; from dub inflicted post-punk instrumentals and saturated synthpop to hypnotic ambient loops and ramshackle techno.
